Apples and blackberries are on the foraging agenda this month and I'm looking forward to some great local harvest festivals at the end of the month too. Are there any special celebrations in your town?

The blackberries are out in abundance at the moment, so many grow at the side of the road, what a hardy bush the blackberry is. I don't fancy the roadside blackberries as they are bathed in all the nasty car fumes. But I'll be having an amble along the river bank to see what I can find. I think I'll be jamming during September too.
