Pulled Pork Recipe

My hero ingredient in this pulled pork recipe is the date syrup, it adds a great flavour to the marinate. I also like a really smoky paprika like La Chinata.

Ingredients (serves 6-8)
1.8 kg boneless pork shoulder
2 tsp paprika
1 tsp mustard powder
1/2 tsp ground cumin
1/4 tsp smoked salt
1/4 tsp celery salt
1/2 tsp of ground black pepper
1 chipolte chilli
2 rounds of wild garlic butter or 2 cloves of  crushed garlic
3 tbsp date syrup
1 tbsp of oil
100 mls of apple cider vinegar

Brown the pork joint in the pan
Mix all the ingredients into a heavy crock pot and roll the pork in them

Cook 120c for at least 6 hours or 8 hours minimum in a slow cooker/crock pot on a low heat

Remove the string and scrape the fat off the top of the joint.
Pull the pork using a fork or spoon.

Serve with brioche rolls and coleslaw
